Equipment Management Workbench

The Equipment Management Workbench displays rentable equipment that is serialized or anonymous. The Equipment Planner can perform all rental related planning tasks from the Equipment Management Workbench. You can use the Equipment Management Workbench (tscfg8351m000) to assign a specific Equipment of type Equipment or Rental Product to a Rental Agreement Line or Equipment Line and to assign one or more employees (operators) to a Rental Agreement Line.

The assigned employee is responsible to handle the Equipment.

To access this workbench, you can:

  • Select LN Menu > Service > Rental > Equipment Management Workbench.
  • Use the Workbench option in the Equipment Rental Workbench (tscfg2600m100) to view the Rental Agreements, Assignments, and Set Period of the Serialized Item Group in the Equipment Management Workbench (tscfg8351m000).
Note: 
  • The workbench considers the Department specified in the Service User Profiles (tsmdm1150m000) session and the values set on the Preferences tab of the User Profile Details (uigwt0102s000) session.
  • An employee can use this workbench based on the data setup for the employee in the Employee Authorization (tcsec1600m000) session. The settings related to the origins used in the workbench are only considered.

Prerequisites to access the workbench:

  • The user profile must be defined in the Service User Profiles (tsmdm1150m000) session
  • The service offices must be defined.
  • The Distance Unit for Meters must be specified in the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session.
  • The units for Day, Week, and Month must be specified in the General Service Parameters (tsmdm0100m000) session.
  • The Order Procedure of the rental agreement must be Rental.

The Equipment Management Workbench consists of:

  • Toolbar
  • Resources Gantt
  • Grid (Equipment and Assignments)
  • Location (Map)
