Budget Cost Surcharges by Cost Type (tpptc0126s000)
Use this session to maintain cost surcharges by cost-type for the selected element, cost component or extension.
You can create surcharges only for projects that have a Free or Active project status.
The surcharge is based on the budget lines in which the selected cost type is used.

- Project

The code that uniquely identifies the project.
- Description

The description or name of the code.
- Project Status

The project's status.
- Sundry Cost

The code that uniquely identifies the sundry costs cost object.
- Sundry Cost

The type of reference.
- Sequence Number

The code that uniquely identifies the sequence number.
- Percentage

The surcharge percentage calculated on the budgeted costs for material.
This calculation is based on the following formula:
(percentage/100) * budgeted costs for the material on a single line
The surcharges are not included in the budgeted costs (a surcharge is not calculated on another surcharge).
If you select an extension, the computation is as follows:
(percentage/100) * budgeted costs of extension (Material cost-type)

- Effective Date

The date on which the surcharge takes effect. This date is compared with the project start date in order to define whether the surcharge applies or not.
- Expiry Date

The date on which the surcharge expires. This date is compared with the project start date in order to define whether the surcharge applies or not.
- Element

The code that uniquely identifies the element. If you select an element in this field, the surcharge amount is posted to that element.
If you perform a budget-cost analysis and generate control data for all elements, LN calculates the surcharge percentage on the direct costs for each element, and posts it to that element.

The code that uniquely identifies the plan. The plan includes the activity to which the surcharge is posted.
- Activity

The activity that the surcharge is posted to.
