Costing Breaks - Production Resources (tppdm3102m000)
Use this session to create and maintain the costing breaks for the production resources linked to the project.
For a project involving production of an item, you can create costing breaks for the labor and/or the subcontracting costs (production resources). You can create costing breaks for the main item, routing of the item, operations linked to the routing, and by the work centers mapped to a specific element or activity of the project.
LN first searches for the costing breaks created for the specific project, then for a blank project. However, if the Job Shop by Site field is set to Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session, LN first searches for the specific site and specific project, then for the specific site and a blank project, then for a blank site and a specific project, and last for a blank site and a blank project. The hierarchical sequence that LN follows to search for the costing breaks:

- Project

The code that identifies the project for which the costing break is created.
Note: You can also create costing breaks for blank projects (projects for which the project code is not specified). However, you must specify the standard element/activity to create costing breaks. - Line

The line number of the costing break.
- Site
-
The code of the site for which the costing break of the production resources is applicable.
Note:- This field is displayed only if the Job Shop by Site field is set to Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- If the value is not specified in this field, the costing break for the production resources is applicable for more than one site.
- Cost Type
-
The cost type for which the costing break is created.
Note: By default, the value is set to Not Applicable.Allowed values

- Main Item

The main item for which the costing break is created.
Note: You must leave this field blank to create costing breaks for the work center. When you specify only the main item and set the Cost Type field to Labor, the costing break is linked to all the routings defined for the specified Main Item. - Description

The description or name of the code.
- Routing

The routing code of the main item.
Note:- This field is enabled only if the Cost Type field is set to Not Applicable.
- When you specify the routing code for the main item and the Operation field is empty, the costing break is linked to all the operations related to the specified Routing.
- This field is applicable only if the Job Shop by Site field is set to other than Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.

The routing code applicable to the main item in job shop based on the specified site.
Note: This field is displayed and applicable only if the Job Shop by Site field is set to Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session. - Operation

The code that identifies the operation linked to the routing of the main item.
Note: This field is disabled if the Routing field is empty. - Work Center

The work center linked to the project for which the costing breaks are created.
Note:This field is enabled only if the Main Item field is empty.
When you specify only the Work Center, the costing break is linked to the specified work center.
