Standard Surcharges by Cost Type (tppdm1570m000)
Use this session to create and maintain the standard surcharges by cost type. The lines in this session refer to a unique combination of company, cost type, sundry cost code, and sequence number. All lines can have similar characteristics; however, the combination of characteristics must be unique.
Field Information
- Company

The company that the surcharge applies to.
- Cost Type

The cost type that the surcharge is calculated from.
- Sundry Cost

The code that identifies the standard sundry cost object to which the surcharge is posted.
- Description

The description or name of the code.
- Sequence Number
-
This number uniquely identifies the surcharge in combination with the other surcharge characteristics, such as cost type, sundry costs, and so on. This number is automatically assigned when you create a new surcharge. Surcharges can share a common sequence number as long as they differ in at least one other characteristic.
- Percentage

The surcharge percentage. The surcharge amount will vary depending on the budget, costs, and/or revenues (as specified in the Surcharge Type fields).
- Estimate

If this check box is selected, LN considers the surcharge when calculating the surcharges for the estimate for the project.
- Budget

If this check box is selected, the surcharge is calculated on the budgeted costs in the actual budget. The surcharge is posted as sundry cost in control data. The surcharge type indicates how the surcharge is recorded. You can check any combination of surcharge types.
- Costs

If this check box is selected, the surcharge is calculated based on actual costs and commitments. The surcharge is posted as sundry cost in cost registration. The surcharge type indicates how the surcharge is recorded. You can check any combination of surcharge types.
- Revenues

If this check box is selected, the surcharge is calculated based on revenues. This only applies to cost objects of cost type General. The surcharge is posted as sundry cost in cost registration. The surcharge type indicates how the surcharge is recorded. You can check any combination of surcharge types.
- Cost Component

The cost component associated with the cost object.
Note: You can only specify a cost component for which the Component Type is set to Detail or Collect in the Cost Components (tcmcs0148m000) session. - Estimate Surcharge Method Cost

If this check box is selected, the estimate surcharge calculated using the Calculate Estimate Surcharges (tpest2200m100) session is added to the cost amount specified in the Estimate Lines (tpest2100m000) session.

By default, this check box is selected.
Note: This field is enabled only if the Estimate check box is selected. - Estimate Surcharge Method Sales

If this check box is selected, the estimate surcharge calculated using the Calculate Estimate Surcharges (tpest2200m100) session is added to the sales amount specified in the Estimate Lines (tpest2100m000) session.
