User Defined Statuses by Estimate Version (tpest0187m000)
Use this session to define User Defined statuses, which can be used in the Estimate Lines (tpest2100m000) session to specify an estimate line.
For example, you define a status: RFQ description: Await update from supplier. Include in Scope selected Include in Costs cleared Include in Sales cleared.
For the estimate line that defines the material, you require additional information on the unit cost and on the sales price. You create the status RFQ and you link the RFQ status to the estimate line.
If you receive the price update from the supplier, you can enter the cost and sales price and add a new status to the line, for example: SUP description: Final supply. Include in Scope selected, Include in Cost selected, Include in Sales selected. Now the cost can be aggregated in the estimate and recognized for the bid.

- User-Defined Status
-
Define an appropriate status for the estimate.
The status can be Request for Quotation if you are not sure about the costs of a supply for the estimate line. Link, for example, only the related Cost fields to this status. The Include in Cost check box must be cleared. These cost lines are not included in the total cost calculation. Later, you can change the status of the cost lines to Final Supply, when the answer to the quotation is received and you know the unit cost of the supply. Select the Include in Cost check box for this status.
Note: the statuses Request for Quotation and Final Supply are examples; you can create your own status list. - Include in Scope
-
If this check box is selected, the estimate line with this user status is in the scope of the estimate. As a result, this estimate line’s values are used in the calculation of totals, the bid, and the launch to budget. Note that an estimate line with the Include in Scope check box cleared is not used in total cost and/or sales amounts. The line is considered out of scope for the estimate.
- Include in Cost
-
If this check box is selected, the cost amount of the estimate line with this user status is taken into account in the calculation of the total costs of the estimate and the bid.
- Include in Sales
-
If this check box is selected, the sales amount of the estimate line with this user status is taken into account in the calculation of the total sales amount of the estimate and the bid.
