Using earned value related data
Infor LN allows you to generate a planned value (PV) for a project using the Generate Time-Phased Budget (tpptc5200m000) session. In the Earned Value Method Related Data (tpptc5511m000) session, you must define the earned value method related data to the activities in a time-phased budget. The planned value or BCWS is calculated for the leaf nodes and aggregated through the activity structure. The Earned-value-method data can be maintained only for those activities for which a budget amount is available in the version .
You can apply performance measurement techniques to earned-value (EV) method-related data and generate the EV, and the Actual cost.
You can use the Earned Value Method Related Data (tpptc5511m000) session to access these sessions and define the earned value:
option on the Reference menu of the- The EV Milestones Related Data (tpptc5111s000) session to define the amount or percentage for activities using the earned value method Milestone.
- The EV Start/End Percentage Related Data (tpptc5112s000) session to define the start- and end-percentages for activities using the earned value method Start and End Percentage.
- The EV Maximum Percentage Related Data (tpptc5113s000) session to define the maximum percentages for activities using the earned value method Schedule Percentage Completed or Level of Effort.
If the activity data is saved in a version other than the current version, you can use the EV Start/End Percentage Related Data (tpptc5112s000) session and the EV Maximum Percentage Related Data (tpptc5113s000) session to copy the data to the current version. This is possible only if the status of the current version is Free or Actual and the project status is Free or Active.
