Remixing Line Mix
You can calculate a new mix to clear a backlog or to improve existing mixes. For example, you can remix an existing mix to take into account a higher priority given to an order as a result of altering the order's offline date. You can remix backlogged orders so their planned offline dates occur in the future.
If the Include Backlog Orders check box is selected, orders not In Progress whose offline date is before the planned offline date are included in the initial order mix for the first day of the dates that you have selected. If the capacity of that day is exceeded, orders with a lower priority are moved to the following day.
Priority is determined by:
- The requested offline date
- Whether an assembly order is linked to a sales order.
- The priority that was manually defined in the Priority field in the Assembly Order (tiasc2100s000) session.
- The cost value
If moving the orders to a new day causes the capacity of that day to be exceeded, low priority orders are moved to the following day. If orders are moved to a previous day, orders with a high priority are moved. This process is repeated until all the orders have been processed.
If an order is moved backward in time, in other words, to an earlier date, the order's offline date can fall before the reference date, defined in the Assembly Order (tiasc2100s000) session. The reference date determines when the content of an order is valid. The content of an order consists of the required materials and operations. Therefore, if the offline date falls before the reference date, problems can occur, because the production is based on an order content that is not yet valid.
Example
A certain feature of the product cannot yet be produced at that time, because the required machines are not yet operative. To warn you for such problems, LN shows you a message if, after remixing, it appears that an order's offline date falls before the reference date.
