Processing backflushed hours
The calculation of the man and machine hours that must be backflushed differs for high-volume and low-volume. For high-volume situations backflushing is based on the rate specified for a line and the number of employees. In low-volume situations backflushing is based on the duration of every operation and the number of employees required per operation.
LN backflushes the man hours and machine hours of the operations for which quantities are reported as completed. For details about the calculation of the hours accounted through backflushing, see Calculating hours accounted through backflushing.
You can see the result of backflushing hours in the Estimated vs. Actual Hours Costs (ticst0502m000) session.
LN adds the backflushed hours to the actual hours.
LN accounts man hours for the employee that you designated as backflush employee in the Work Centers (tirou0101m000) details session.
LN uses the hourly labor type that you specified in the Assembly Control Parameters (tiasc0100m000) session or the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session.
After creating the hours transactions, LN processes the hours transactions immediately through the Process Hours and Expenses (bptmm1203m000) session.
LN also prints the results of backflushing hours in a report.
Assembly Control (ASC)
In the Assembly Control module, hours are always backflushed. Backflushing takes place if a line station order is reported as complete. The following conditions must be met:
- The produced item is a FAS item.
- The associated work center is a line station.
The hours can be viewed in People.
