Quality control of end products
When you implement Quality for the end products of production orders, LN creates inspection orders for each production order. These inspection orders specify the tests for the end products of the production order.
Possible scenarios to implement quality for the end products:
- The products are inspected, but the inspection orders have no direct impact on the production orders (method A).
- You must inspect the products, before you can report a production order completed. However, you can report the quantity to delivered or rejected, irrespective of the test results (method B).
If you want to block the production order until the inspections have determined the quantity to deliver and quantity rejected, you can define inspections for the last operation. For more information, see Using QM for manufacturing operations.
If you select method A, and you modify the finished quantities, after you close the inspection order, LN asks you if the inspection order must be reopened.
If you select method B, and you try to modify the finished quantities, after you close the inspection order, LN generates a new inspection order.
