Calculating based on norm tables
The figures in the norm table are obtained by interpolation.
Example
Norm times are available for drilling holes. These times vary with the thickness of the sheet and the diameter of the hole (see the following table)
Hole diameter in mm | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
Sheet diameter in mm | ||||||
1 | 0.500 | 1.000 | 1.500 | 2.000 | 2.500
10 | 0.800 | 1.600 | 2.400 | 3.200 | 4.000
25 | 1.200 | 2.300 | 3.400 | 4.500 | 5.600 |
To enter the run time or production rate for an operation, zoom to the Calculate Norm Time (tirou0230m000) session to calculate the relevant value. In this example, you specify the norm table, the thickness of the sheet, and the diameter of the hole. The last two values are, for example, 12 mm and 3.6 mm. LN then computes the appropriate norm time through interpolation.
Hole diameter in mm | 3 | 3,6 | 4
Sheet thickness in mm | 10 | 2.400 | ... | 3.200
12 | ... | ... | ... |
