Critical Path

The critical path is the optimum route from the time that the first activity can be started up to and including termination of the last activity. LN will then take account of the activity itself, and the mutual relations between the activities and the present slacks. Actually, an activity belongs to the critical path if the Total Float field and the Free Float field in the Activities (tipcs4101m000) session are both zero.

The critical path can be visualized on the planning board by selecting the Critical Path check box in the Planning Board Groups (tccom5500m000) session and specifying the color by clicking a color in the Critical Path list.

If the planning board data is modified, the critical path may change. If you want to view this you must regenerate the network planning by means of the Generate Network Planning (tipcs4210m000) session.
