Using Planning Board
Using the graphical planning board, you can visualize the following matters:
- Activities of one or several projects that are generated by means of the Activity Relationships (tipcs4110m000) session. The activities are charted against the set date scale. Depending on the Start Dates Activities field, the broad bar shows the time between: * The earliest possible start date and the earliest possible end date, or * The latest possible start date and the latest possible finish date.
- The float times before or after these ranges are visible on the small bar.
- Relations presented in lines connecting the activities. The relations are created in the Activity Relationships (tipcs4110m000) session. The number is the free float specified for the relation and is only printed if it is greater than zero.
The data selection (by means of the Data Selection for Planning Board (tipcs4171m000) session) and the planning board settings (by means of the Planning Board Groups (tccom5100s000) session) determine which activities and relations are displayed and how.
POSSIBLE ACTIONS:
- Changing the size of planning board areas The planning board contains two areas: the data on the left and the graph on the right. Between these areas is a black block at the top of the screen. This block can be dragged from left to right using the mouse, allowing you to change the size of the data or graph area. The cursor can be moved vertically and horizontally within the two areas by shifting the appropriate broad bars.
