Defining scrap and yield

You can define various scrap quantities and scrap and yield percentages by material and by operation.

By material

For each material in the BOM you can define a scrap factor and a scrap quantity. These values can be entered in the Bill of Material (tibom1110m000) session. Default values are defined for each item in the Item - Production (tiipd0101m000) session. You can alter the scrap factor and quantity for a production order in the Estimated Materials (ticst0101m000) session.

By operation

Defining yield percentages or scrap quantities on operations is only possible if the Scrap Quantity and Yield check box in the Job Shop Master Data Parameters (tirou0100m000) session is selected. The yield percentage, yield type, and a scrap quantity can then be entered in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session. You can alter these values for a particular production order in the Production Planning (tisfc0110m000) session.
