Use this session to maintain the default tool type values.

- Multipiece Tool

Tool comprising of or having several pieces. For example a drill.
- Tool Component

A part of a multipiece tool. For example a drill bit.
- Single-Piece Tool

Tool consisting of or fashioned in a single piece or part. For example a wrench.
- Tool's Life Based On

A tool's life is a value based on the number of times the tool can be used or the number of hours the tool can perform. You can modify this field if the Tool is not yet entered the Availability Planning (titrp0513m000) session.
- Planning Method

The planning method to estimate requirements and to issue tools to the Production Order or Service Order.
- Schedule Constraint

If this check box is selected, scheduling constraints may apply to the tool's life cycle.
Note:- The Infor SCM Scheduler check box in Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) must be selected.
- Schedule constraints can only be applied to tools of the type Single-Piece Tool.
- Critical in Availability Planning

If this check box is selected, LN performs time-phased availability planning for the planned and actual production orders to check if the tool type is available. The values indicate if this tool type is critical for availability planning of planned and actual production orders.
- Tool's Life

The capacity of the tool expressed as the number of hours or times it can be used.
Note: If the Tool's Life Based On field is set to Not Applicable, you cannot maintain this field. - Refurbishing Point

The number of times the tool can be used before it must be refurbished. The refurbishing point is based on the number of times or the number of hours that the tool is used.
Note: You can specify of usages if the Life field is based on Number of Times Used or the Number of Hours Used. - Maximum Number of Refurbishings

The maximum number of times the tool can be refurbished. If this value is 0 (zero) the amount of refurbishing orders you can create is unlimited.

Specify the type of order required to repair the tool.

- Refurbishing Point Reduction Percentage

Thepercentage by which the refurbishing point of the tool is reduced after refurbishing.
The refurbishing point of a tool is reduced by the percentage specified, after you complete a service order to refurbish the tool.
Note: If the refurbishing point is 25, and the reduction percentage is 40, the refurbishing point after completion of the service order is 15 (40% * 25 = 10. If you subtract 10 from refurbishing point 25, the new refurbishing point is 15). - Warning Percentage

The point at which a warning must be displayed that the tool must be refurbished.
Example Refurbishing point = 1000 Warning percentage = 25% If the warning percentage is 25 for each tool type, a warning is displayed when the tools have been used approximately 750 times.
