Check Materials Shortage and Release (tirpt4221m200)
Use this session to check materials shortage and release Production Schedule
Lines.
Note:
- You can access this session only if:
- The Repetitive Manufacturing (RPT) check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- The user profile exists in the Production User Profiles (timfc0120m000) session.
- The Sites field value is Inactive in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- The application considers the Production Schedule Lines with the status Free and Firm
to:
- Check for the availability or shortage of material.
- Be Released.
- You can perform the material shortage check for the selected items using the View Material Shortage Result (tirpt4521m000) session. The successful or unsuccessful Released lines are displayed in the Infor LN UI Message Viewer. option. The results are displayed in the
Field Information
- Site
- The code of the site linked to the selected
company.Note:
- This field is enabled only if the Sites field value is Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- The application defaults this value from the Production User Profiles (timfc0120m000) session, if specified.
- Schedules Selection

- Plan Group
- The From and To fields define a range of Work Cell Plan Groups linked to the selected Site.
- Work Cell
- The From and To fields define a range of all Work Cells linked to the selected Site and the Plan Group.
- Schedule
- The From and To fields define a range of all Production Schedules linked to the selected Site, Plan Group, and Work Cell.
- Line
- The From and To fields define a range of all Production Schedule Lines linked to the selected Schedule.
- Start Date
- The From and To fields define a range of the planned start date for the selected Production Schedule Lines.
- Release

- Release Schedules without Shortage
- If this check box is selected, Schedule Lines
with the status Free can be Released, if sufficient material exists.Note: By default, this check box is selected. However, you can clear this check box.

Indicate the type of quantity to be used to check for the shortage or the availability of material.
Allowed values
- In Stock
- The material shortage or availability check is performed based on the On Hand quantity.
- Planned Available
- The material availability or shortage check is performed based on the Planned Receipts quantity.
- Scope

Indicate the scope selection to perform the check for material shortage or availability.
Allowed values
- Supply Warehouse
- The check for material shortage or availability includes the main Warehouse and
Point of Usage (POU).Note: POU must be included in the Enterprise Planning.
- Warehouses in Site
- The check for material shortage or availability includes all Warehouses with or
without EP check.Note: To exclude Warehouses without EP, you can select the Planned Warehouse Only check box.
- Warehouses in Cluster
- The check for material shortage or availability includes all Warehouses that are
linked to the same Cluster, with or without EP check.Note: To exclude Warehouses without EP, you can select the Planned Warehouse Only check box.
- Planned Warehouse Only
- If this check box is selected, only these
Warehouses are considered to calculate the Available Quantity in the View Material Shortage Result (tirpt4521m000) session:
- Warehouses that are of the type, Normal.
- Warehouses (with the linked Point of Usage) that are included in EP.
Note: This check box is enabled only if the Scope field is set to Warehouses in Site or Warehouses in Cluster. - Skip Blocked Inventory
- If this check box is selected, the Blocked
quantity for the material in the Inventory 360 (whwmd4300m000) session is not considered
in the Available Quantity field of the View Material Shortage Result (tirpt4521m000)
session.Note:
- By default, this check box is enabled and can be selected.
- Inventory can be blocked can be at different levels:
- Zone/Location Blocking (whwmd6110m000)
- Lot Blocking (whwmd6120m000)
- Stock Point Blocking (whwmd6130m000)
- Handling Unit Blocking (whwmd6140m000)
- Critical Items Only
- If this check box is selected, the materials
shortage check is performed only for items that are critical for repetitive
production.Note:
- By default, this check box is enabled and can be selected.
- The item is critical if the Critical check box is selected for the item in the Item - Production (tiipd0601m000) session.
- Show

Indicate the selection to narrow the list of items for which the material shortage check is performed.
Allowed values
- Show Items with Shortage
- Only Items with a shortage are displayed.
- Show all Items
- All Items with and without shortage are displayed.
- By Line or Run

Indicate the selection to narrow materials shortage check or its availability.
Allowed values
- By Line
- The materials shortage check is performed based on each Production Schedule Line.
- By Run
- The materials shortage check is performed based on Production Schedule Lines that have the same Run ID.
