Copy Project (tipcs2210m000)
Use this session to copy project data to a new or existing project.
If project data is copied to an existing project, LN gives a warning. During the copy process, project data is only added, which can have an undesirable mix effect if certain data is already present.
Field Information
- Source Project

Code of the project from which you want to copy the data.

The description of the project.
- Target Project Type

The project type of the project to which the source project data is copied. For projects of type other than budget the Engineering Allowed field may not be No.
- Target Project

Code of the project to which you want to copy the data. This can be either an existing or new project. When you choose an existing project, its code must have been recorded in the Projects (tipcs2101m000) session.
Note: The status of an existing target project, of the type subproject or single project, must be Free, Simulated or Active. Copying to an existing budget has no limitations. If project data is copied to an existing project, LN gives a warning. - Target Calculation Group

Calculation group assigned to the target project.

If this check box is selected, the customized item data and the project parts are copied to the target project.
- Bills of Material

If this check box is selected, the customized BOMs are copied to the target project.
- Routings

If this check box is selected, the operations are copied to the target project.
- Costing data

If this check box is selected, the following are copied to the target project:
- Standard cost calculation data
- Operation rates
- Subcontracting rates
- Standard cost surcharges
- Planning

If this check box is selected, the Activities, activity relations, and the module planning are copied.
- Calculate Standard Cost by Project

If this check box is selected, the standard cost of a project and its customized items is calculated.
- Product Variant Structure

If this check box is selected, an already existing product variant structure will be copied to a new product variant. This is only possible if the Item Data check box is selected.
If this check box is cleared, the product variant of the source project will be linked to the new customized item. The product variant structure itself will not be copied.
Note: Changes to the product variant must be carried through under the original project.
