Replace Item in Generic Assembly BOM (tipcf3218m100)
Use this session to replace the item in the generic assembly bill of material (BOM).
Note: This session can be accessed only if:
- The Configurations by Site field is set to Active or In Preparation in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- The Assembly - Single Location check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- The Product Configurator (PCF) check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- You can use the Replace option from the Action menu to replace the specified item in the generic assembly bill of material.
Field Information
- Replacement Data

- Item to be Replaced
- The code of the item that must be replaced.
- Replacement Item
- The code of the material or component with which the item is replaced.
- Check Date
- The date and time on which the material line to process is valid according to its valid from and until dates.
- Valid From Date
- The date and time from which the updated or created material line is valid.
- Selection Range
- Use the fields in the Selection Range group box to specify the range of items that must be replaced in the generic assembly bill of material (BOM).
- Options

- Retain Original Item
- If this check box is selected, the original item is not deleted when replacing the item for the generic assembly bill of material.
- Use Up Inventory
- If this check box is selected, the
current inventory is used up before issuing for the replacement item.Note: The material to be replaced is displayed in the Replaces Item field in the Use Up section, in the Production Bill of Material Line Details (timfc3610m000) session.
- Retain Valid From Date
- If this check box is selected, the date specified in the Effective Date field is not applicable for the replacement item. As a result, the bills of material (BOMs) line for which the item is replaced retains the original effective date.
