Use this session to link general product features and options to generic items.

- Product Feature
- Sequence Number
-
The sequence in which a customer can choose options for each product feature. During the configuration process the features appear on the screen in this sequence. The sequence of the features for each generic item can be chosen in a different manner than the sequence in which they are defined for the entire company.
- By default, LN shows the last used number plus 10; thus in the sequence of 10, 20, 30 and so on. You can number product features in whatever manner you want.
- You must adopt these default values because intermediate numbers are important when you add product features. If you must insert a product feature between 10 and 20, you can use sequence number 15.
- The generic item can be made up of a maximum of 999 product features.
- Product Feature
-
The product feature to be entered must be defined in the Product Feature (tipcf0150m000) session.
Note:You can manually specify product features in this field.
The description of the feature can be different from the general product feature's description in the Product Feature (tipcf0150m000) session.
Example: car color forms a more specific description of the feature color.
- Effective Date
-
Specify the effective date of the product feature.
Note: LN shows the current date by default. This is the effective date for the generic item's product feature.
- Expiry Date
-
The expiry date indicates from which date the product feature is invalid.
- Constraint ID
-
The constraint code to be entered must be predefined in the Configurable Item - Constraint IDs (tipcf2101m000) session. Entering a constraint code is only useful if you also record a constraint with this code in the Configurable Item - Constraints (tipcf2110m000) session.
If you zoom to the Configurable Item - Constraints (tipcf2110m000) session, you can directly define constraints for each generic item. LN asks you to create a new constraint code if a constraint was not previously entered.
You can use the Before Input section of the constraint to define a default option value. You can also indicate under which conditions LN can enter or show the product feature during product configuration.
If you use the Validation section of the constraint, you can record which conditions the option value must satisfy for the product feature. The product configurator can generate specific messages to support the configuration process.
If you enter an invalid option value for the product feature, you can record the fixed option value in the Parameter Substitution section of the constraint, with the help of formulas. You can also record this value in the Before Input section of the constraint.
- Select Option
-
If this check box is selected, the options that belong to this product feature must be defined separately in the Options by Product Feature and Configurable Item (tipcf1110m000) session.
If this check box is cleared, you can choose all possible values for this product feature if they comply with the option value domain you recorded for this product feature in the Product Feature (tipcf0150m000) session.
This field indicates whether a product feature has selective options.
- Text
-
If this check box is selected, text is present with additional data about the product feature for this generic item.
