Generate E-Items by MBC (tiedm3201m000)

Use this session to generate the E-items that will be affected by the MBC.

  • If the E-item does not have a revision yet, one will be created by the MBC.
  • If the E-item does have a revision, the revision is linked to the MBC as old revision (which will be expired when new revisions are created). New revisions will be generated only when the EBOM is processed.

These items are the basis for generating engineering BOMs in the Process EBOM Changes (tiedm3205m000) session for revisions defined with MBCs.

This session only uses MBCs which have a status In Design.

When generating E-items, LN performs a number of tests. These tests are described in the Changing EBOMs - Automatic procedure.
