Field Information
- Item
-
The item to which the costing data is applied.
- Enterprise Unit
-
Note: Only visible if Standard Cost by Enterprise Unit in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session is Active.
- Financial Company
- Standard Costs Base
-
If this check box is selected, the standard cost of the selected enterprise unit and item combination, is used as the standard base cost of production for the item across the company.
The standard cost base is used in calculations not linked to a specific enterprise unit, such as the calculation of the global sales price.
If the Standard Cost per EU Mandatory check box is cleared in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session, and no item costing data is present for the item and enterprise unit combination, the standard cost base is used when standard cost is retrieved for the combination.
- Cost Calculation Code
- Quantity
-
The item quantity in inventory units to which the costing data applies.
Note: This quantity is only applicable for the manufacturing items; for all other items zero quantity will be displayed. - Last Calculation Date
-
The last time that the item's standard cost was calculated.
- Warehouse
-
The warehouse to which surcharges apply during standard cost calculation.
Note: If this field is empty, warehouse surcharges are not allowed during calculation. - Currency
-
The currency that is used to express the standard cost. The usage of this field depends on the currency system that is set in the Companies (tcemm1170m000) session.
- If the standard cost is defined per enterprise unit, the item costing currency is defined by the enterprise unit and cannot be changed and the currency is derived from the financial company parameters of the enterprise unit.
-
Independent
If your company's currency system is Independent, you cannot change this field. -
Single
If your company's currency system is Single, you cannot change this field. The standard cost currency is the local currency, which is displayed in this field.
- Surcharges by Item
-
If this check box is selected, surcharges can be specified by item.
- Surcharges by Warehouse
-
If this check box is selected, surcharges can be specified by warehouse.
- Cost Component Structure
-
- Cost Component
- Item - specific Standard Cost
-
- Cost Component
-
- Cost Component Type
-
The cost type defines the elements that make up the standard cost and the valuation price. Cost types indicate the type of costs that must be posted to a cost component.
- Number of Units
-
The number of units of materials or hours.
The units are:
- Included in the product structure or the standard cost structure.
- Saved under the relevant cost component during standard cost calculation.
- Amount
-
The amount saved under the relevant cost component during standard cost calculation. This amount applies to the operation costs, material costs, and so on.
- Item - Standard Cost Details
-
- Cost Component
-
- Number of Units
-
The number of units of materials or hours.
The units are:
- Included in the product structure or the cost-price structure.
- Saved under the relevant cost component during standard cost calculation.
- Added Amount Fixed
-
The fixed costs that are connected with the cost components of the item displayed in the session's header.
If a cost component is not only applicable for the item displayed in the header, but also for some component items in the item's BOM structure, the costs connected to that cost component are expressed in the Total Amount Fixed field.
Note: Fixed costs are always added to the standard cost of an item. If the Include Fixed Costs in Valuation Price check box in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session is selected, fixed costs are also added to the valuation price. - Added Amount Variable
-
The variable costs that are connected with the cost components of the item displayed in the session's header.
If a cost component is not only used for the item displayed in the header, but also for some component items in the item's BOM structure, the costs connected to that cost component are expressed in the Total Amount Variable field.
Operation rates and surcharges are variable costs if the Variable Cost check box is selected in the following sessions:
- Item Surcharges (ticpr1110m000)
- Operation Rates (ticpr1150m000)
- Assembly Line Surcharges (ticpr1180m000)
- Project Surcharges (tipcs3120m000)
If the Variable Cost check box is cleared, the costs are considered as fixed costs.
Note: Fixed costs are always added to the standard cost of an item. If the Include Fixed Costs in Valuation Price check box in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session is selected, fixed costs are also added to the valuation price. - Total Amount Fixed
-
The fixed costs that are connected with the cost components of the header item's parts.
The fixed costs that are directly linked to the item in the session's header are displayed in the Added Amount Fixed field.
Note: Fixed costs are always added to the standard cost of an item. If the Include Fixed Costs in Valuation Price check box in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session is selected, fixed costs are also added to the valuation price. - Total Amount Variable
-
The variable costs that are connected with the cost components of the header item's parts.
The variable costs that are directly linked to the item in the session's header are displayed in the Added Amount Variable field.
- Item - Calculated Surcharges
-
- Cost Calculation Code
- Booking Triggered By
-
The moment that the surcharge is added to the valuation price.
- Warehouse
-
The warehouse to which the item surcharge applies.
- Sequence Number
-
The sequence number of the calculated item surcharge.
- Type of Calculation Line
-
The calculation line types are used to structure the price calculation. These structures are used in all reports that print price structures. In the price calculations the surcharges are calculated last. Surcharges are calculated in order of their sequence.
- Surcharge Method
-
The method of calculating the item surcharge.
Allowed values
- Fixed Amount
-
The surcharge expressed as a fixed amount can be positive or negative. In the latter case, it is in effect an Item Surcharge Base (ticpr1120m000) discount.
- % of Total Costs
-
The surcharge is a percentage of the total costs as included in the cost calculation.
Note: LN does not include surcharges that must be calculated in the surcharge on the total costs, because they are not known at that moment. The surcharge percentage can be positive or negative. In the latter case, it is in effect a discount. - % of Added Costs
-
This method is similar to the of Total Costs method, except that a surcharge is now only applied to the added costs that are known. Added costs are direct operation costs at the highest level in the product structure, and cost surcharges. In this way, you can avoid that surcharges are applied to surcharges, which is mainly relevant for manufactured parts with a multilevel product structure.
- % Selective (Total Costs)
-
This method is similar to the of Total Costs method. However, the surcharge basis is not the total standard cost, but a selection of the item's total cost structure. Run the Item Surcharge Base (ticpr1120m000) session to specify the cost component(s) to which the surcharge must be applied.
- % Selective (Added Costs)
-
This surcharge method is similar to the of Total Costs method, in which the surcharge basis is not the total standard cost for the selected cost components, but only the added costs for the cost components. Refer to the information on the of Added Costs method.
- Surcharge Component
-
The cost component to which the item surcharge is linked.
- Variable Cost
-
Specifies whether the project surcharges are variable or fixed.
If this check box is selected, the surcharge is considered a variable cost. Otherwise, it is considered a fixed cost.
Note: Fixed costs are only included in the standard cost of a project if the Include Fixed Costs in Project Valuation parameter is selected. - Currency
-
The currency in which the surcharge is expressed.
- Surcharge Amount
-
The item surcharge expressed as an amount.
A standard cost surcharge is displayed in this field, if:
- The Calculation Line Type field is Surcharge.
- The Surcharge Method field is Fixed Amount
- Surcharge Percentage
-
The item surcharge expressed as a percentage.
A surcharge percentage is entered in this field, if:
- The Calculation Line Type field is Surcharge.
- The Surcharge Method field is of Total Costs, of Added Costs, Selective (Total Costs), or Selective (Total Costs).
- Surcharge Bases Present
-
If this check box is selected, a surcharge base is defined in the Item Surcharge Base (ticpr1120m000) session.
