Operation Rates (ticpr1151m000)
Use this session to enter the operation rates for standard and project-related operation costs. Operation rates are used to determine the operation costs for an item.
If you specify a site in the Site field, you can define site-specific operation rates.
Field Information
- Cost Calculation Code

The cost calculation code ID.
Note: By entering a non-standard, project-specific cost calculation code , you can define project specific operation rates. - Operation Rate Code

The code identifying operation rates (labor costs, machine costs, or overhead costs).
Note: The code can be defined at different levels, and order of priority. The code can be related to a reference operation, machine capacity group, work center, and production department calculation office. - Rate Currency

The currency as defined for the operation rate code in the Operation Rate Codes (ticpr0150m000) session.

The site ID.
Note:-
You can only select sites for which you are authorized.
- For site-specific operation rates, this field must be filled.
- For non-site-specific operation rates, leave this field blank.

The current operation rate currency defined for the selected site in the Production Settings by Site (timfc0180m000) session.
- Approved

If a check mark is displayed, the operation rate is approved.
Only operation rates with the check mark present are used in cost calculations. When you approve an operation rate by using the cost calculation code, operation rate code, site, sequence number) is automatically filled with the effective date of the new operation rate.

The sequence number is an important identifier of a rate.
Operation rates with the same cost calculation code, operation rate code, site and sequence number apply to the same operation cost type over time. Only if you want to define multiple effective rates for the same operation cost type in parallel (for example, for a specific distribution of labor costs over cost components), you can define parallel rows for the same operation cost type with different sequence numbers. In all other cases, you do not need more than one sequence by operation cost type.

The type of costs that the operation rate relates to.
Note:- The operation costs type must match the cost type selected in the Cost Component field. Example: If the cost component cost type is Labor, the operation cost type must be Labor.

If this check box is selected, the operation rate applies to variable costs.
If this check box is cleared, the operation rates apply to fixed costs.
- Rate

The rate by man hour or machine hour. The rate that you enter is valid for the type of operation costs that you defined in the Type of Operation Costs field.
- Currency

If a site is specified in the Site field, the currency for site-specific operation rates is automatically set to the currency currently specified in the Job Shop by Site Currency field.
If no site is specified in the Site field, the currency is automatically set to the currency specified in the Operation Rate Code Currency field.
- Cost Component

The user defined category for the classification of costs.
Cost components have the following functions:
- To break down an item's standard cost, sales price, or valuation price.
- To create a comparison between the estimated production order costs and the actual production order costs.
- To calculate production variances.
- To view the distribution of your costs over the various cost components in the Cost Accounting module.
Cost components can be of the following cost types:
- Operation Costs
- Material Costs
- Surcharge
- General Costs
- Not Applicable
Note:- The operation costs type must match the cost type selected in the Cost Component field. Example: If the cost component cost type is Labor, the operation cost type must be Labor.
Default value
LN retrieves the default value from the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session.
- Effective Date

The date the operation rates become effective. The date the rate becomes effective is included in the time range.
- Expiry Date
-
The date the operation rates expire. The date the rate expires is excluded in the time range.
