Line Segment - Stations (tiasl1550m000)
Use this session to display or modify the line stations of an assembly line segment and their relationship. You can display the current effective stations or all stations for a line segment. To edit the data, double-click a line, or click the New button.
Field Information
- Line Segment
- Station
-
A line station or a buffer that is linked to the line segment.
- Station Type
-
- Work Center
-
A regular work center that defines an area, typically bounded by yellow lines, where job shop operations are done and machines are present.
- Sub Work Center
-
Note: If the value Job Shop by Site parameter is Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session, this option is not available.
A work center that belongs to a higher-level work center in order to review aggregated capacity.
- Subcontracting
-
If an operation must be subcontracted, a subcontracting work center must be defined. You cannot link operation-rate codes for this work-center type. However, you can record planning data by subcontracting work center, irrespective of the selected critical capacity type. If a work center is of the Subcontracting type, you cannot change the work-center type.
- Costing
-
The work center is a costing work center.
- Buffer
-
An assembly line work station where no operations are carried out, but orders wait pending transfer to the next work station.
- Line Station
-
A work center that is part of an assembly line. A line station is used in the production of final assembly schedule items.
- Work Cell
-
A grouping of one or more work stations in a fixed sequence defined in the Work Cells (tirpt0140m000) session, dedicated to repetitive manufacturing. Work cells are used for manufacturing items based on production models.
- Next Station
-
The station that follows the station or buffer defined in the Station field.
Only the last line station of the supplying line can be linked to multiple line stations on different parent lines.
For more information, refer to
- Linking a supply line to multiple parent lines (Divergent assembly line structure)
- Assembly line selection— Configuration Dependent parameter
- Synchronizing a supply line with mutiple parent lines
- Transportation time for linked assembly lines
- Segment of next station
-
The line segment of Next Station.
-
You cannot link a line station to more than one line station of the same assembly line in the same effective period.
-
You cannot link the last line station of an assembly line to more than one line station of the same segment in the same effective period.
-
If ???? line station is linked to a line station of the same segment or the same assembly line, it is not allowed to link this station to another station in the same effective period.
For more information, refer to
- Linking a supply line to multiple parent lines (Divergent assembly line structure)
- Assembly line selection— Configuration Dependent parameter
- Synchronizing a supply line with mutiple parent lines
- Transportation time for linked assembly lines
-
- Effective Date
-
The first date when the line stations in this line are valid. This field cannot be empty.
- Expiry Date
-
The last date when the line stations in this line are valid. If this field is empty, the stations are always valid.
