Product Variant Structure (tiapl3110s000)
Use this session to view and maintain a product variant structure.
Field Information
- Product Variant
-
The code of the product variant for which the product variant structure is displayed.
- Main Item
-
The code of the generic item or manufactured item for which the Default Supply Source is Assembly.
- Position Number
-
The component's position number that identifies the combination of the main item and the sub item.
By default, LN shows the last position number used, plus 10. This procedure provides the sequence 10, 20, 30, and so on. The numbering of positions is unrestricted. It is recommended to use the default values so that you can use intermediate numbers to insert components.
- Item
-
The generic item or engineering module that is directly below the level of the displayed main item in the product variant structure.
- Item Type
-
The item type of the sub item. The item type is either Generic or Configuration Module.
- Replaces Item
- The ID of the item that can replace the item
specified in the item field when
assembly part requirements are calculated in the Calculate Assembly Part Requirements (tiapl2221m000) session, as long as the use up material is in stock.Note: This field is enabled only if the item specified is a standard item. Such as: standard, non-configurable, assembly parts.
- BOM Text

If this check box is selected, a text is attached to the sub-item.
This text stores additional information about the item. This text must be entered in the Generic Assembly Bill of Material (Assembly) (tiapl2510m000) session.
- Extra Information
-
This field stores extra information you want to have in view at once, as opposed to the information in the BOM text.
The displayed information is entered in the Generic Assembly Bill of Material (Assembly) (tiapl2510m000) session.
- Operation
-
The operation to which the purchased configurable item is linked.
Note:To use the purchased configured components you must select the Sell Multiples of Same Configuration check box in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session.
