Export Business Processes in XPDL (tgbrg5266m000)
Use this session to export existing Business Processes that are modeled in DEM to an XPDL format that can be imported into i-Flow.
Only the basic Business Process settings are converted during export. For example, linked Support Applications and linked roles are not exported. The layout of the exported file is following the generic XPDL definition for a process, but also contains additional elements for use in i-Flow. Importing the XPDL into i-Flow results into the creation of a new template, which you must model further in i-Flow.
In this session, you must select a directory to which the XPDL file is written. You must manually transport the XPDL file to a directory from which the i-Flow Development Manager can read the files. In i-Flow, an option exists that enables you to import the XPDL file.
For each Business Process, one template file is created in i-Flow. The name of the template file consists of the values of the Business Process and Version fields.
When a Business Process contains subprocesses, then those are also exported into an own XPDL file. In i-Flow you must then import all related XPDL files, before you can edit them.
