Export Version Dump (tgbrg1235m000)
Use this session to export version data to an ASCII file.
You can use the ASCII file for these purposes:
- Copy data from one system or company to another system or company
- Translate descriptions and texts
- Convert data from the current LN release to a previous/next LN release (Baan5.0 or Baan IV)
- Make backups of your DEM data
Use the Import Version Dump (tgbrg1245m000) session to import data that is exported with the current session.
Field Information
- Version
-
All data in the selected version that falls within the selection parameters will be exported.
- Include Previous Versions

Select the Include Previous Versions check box to export data from versions from which the version you select is derived.
- Download file

If this check box is selected, you can download a file from the local system. If this option is cleared the file is located on the server. Specify information in the File field about the folder location and file name.
- File

Specify a file name and file location on the server when the Download file option is cleared.
- Compress

Select this check box to store the ASCII file in a compressed format. You cannot read this format in the UNIX vi editor or MS Notepad. The file is automatically decompressed when you import the file with the Import Version Dump (tgbrg1245m000) session.
- Convert to

Select the release to which you want to convert the component information. If the export file is for use within the same LN release, you can select the option No Conversion.
- Include Translation Comments

Select this check box to insert explanatory information in the export file to identify the model items.
- Exclude Rich Text Format (rtf)

Select this check box if you do not want to export repository Help or model specific Help stored in rtf format.
- Hide Session

Select this check box, to hide the session window and show a progress window when you click
. - Export Used Model Items in Business Models

Select a method to retrieve the model items used in the business models:
- No: Option is not active.
- Manual: Select a range for used model items. Only the model items that fall within the selection ranges and linked to a business model of the selected version are exported.
- Automatic: Exports all the model items used in a business model of the selected version.
- Export Used Model Items in Repository

Select a method to retrieve the model items used in the repository:
- No: Option is not active.
- Manual: Select a range for used model items. Only the model items that fall within the selection ranges and linked to a Repository of the selected version are exported.
- Automatic: Exports all the model items used in a Repository of the selected version.
