Allowed Costs and Variances (tfcat2540m000)
Use this session to list the allowed costs and deviations. LN compares allowed figures, based on the budget, with the actual costs, and calculates the deviations.
Field Information
- Year
-
The year in which the costs were incurred.
- Period
-
The period for which the allowed costs and deviations are calculated.
- Budget
-
The budget that the allowed values and deviations are based on.
- Dimension Type
-
The dimension type to which the data applies.
- Dimension
-
The dimension to which the actual data applies.
- Reference Unit
-
The reference unit to which the actual data applies.
- Ledger Account
-
The ledger account for which the allowed values and deviations are calculated.
- Allowed Costs
-
The allowed costs are calculated by LN as follows, depending on the Reference Unit Type: Quantity based: Performance Quantity x cost rate + Fixed Budget Amount Amount based: Surcharge Base Amount x cost surcharge + Fixed Budget Amount

If this check box is selected, the allowed costs and deviations are posted to the General Ledger module.
- Fixed Overhead Volume Variance
-
LN calculates the occupation deviation as follows, depending on the Reference Unit Type: Quantity based: Allowed Costs- Performance Quantity * Total Effective Cost Rate / Surcharge Amount based: Allowed Costs- Surcharge Base Amount * Total Budget Cost Rate / Surcharge For structural costs the occupation deviation is zero (0). Note An occupation deviation only applies to Full Cost Accounting systems.
- Efficiency Variance
-
LN calculates the consumption deviation as follows: Total Actual Costs- Allowed Costs
- Political Price Variance
