Ledger Accounts by Cost Category (tfcat0103m000)
Use this session to maintain ledger accounts by cost category. You can also import ledger accounts from the General Ledger module.
You can import ledger accounts in two ways:
Import Ledger Accounts
Creates a cost category based on the ledger account and links the same ledger account to it.

Import Parent Ledger Accounts
Creates a cost category based on the parent ledger account and links all child ledger accounts to it.

And so on.
Field Information
- Cost Category

Select a cost category.
Allowed values
Only a parent ledger account of the type Profit & Loss is allowed when you import ledger accounts.
- Ledger Account

A ledger account that belongs to the cost category.
Allowed values
Profit & Loss account.
- Percentage

The percentage cannot exceed 100 percent. The total cost posted to the cost category can be distributed to the cost category and other accounts by using this percentage. The percentage expresses the corresponding part of the budgeted and actual costs of the ledger account that must be taken into account; for example, the costs that must be taken into account when you allocate from one cost center to another cost center.
Note: The total of all the ledger account percentages is not checked.
