Generate Production Orders (tdsls4243m000)
Use this session to generate production orders from sales orders.
You can generate production orders for the following sales orders:
Sales orders requesting allocated inventory
Hard pegged production orders are generated. As a result, the production order receives the same allocation and hard pegging data as the sales order.Sales orders requesting unallocated inventory
You can generate production orders for sales orders requesting unallocated inventory. The generated production orders have no fixed link with the sales orders from which they are generated. No allocation and hard pegging data appears on these orders.
You can start this session from the following sessions:
- Sales Orders (tdsls4100m000)
- Sales Order (tdsls4100m900)
- Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000)
- Sales Order Planned Delivery Lines (tdsls4101m100)
- Sales Order Line Status (tdsls4534s000), if Generate Production Orders (tdsls4243m000) is the current activity to be carried out.
To generate supply production ordersThe following steps must be completed to generate a supply production order from a sales order and to process the orders:
- Select the Allow Production Orders check box for the sales order type in the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session.
- Set the Delivery Type to Production in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session or the Sales Order Planned Delivery Lines (tdsls4101m100) session.
- After the sales order line is approved, click Generate Production Orders (tdsls4243m000) session. on the appropriate menu to generate a production order from the sales order in the
- Release the sales order to Warehousing in the Release Sales Orders to Warehousing (tdsls4246m000) session.
- Release the production order in the Release Production Orders (tisfc0204m000) session.
- Ship the manufactured item after it is received in Warehousing.
- Complete the sales order and production order procedures.
- To generate production orders, the Allow Production Orders check box must be selected for the sales order type in the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session.
- The production order, which you can view in the Production Orders (tisfc0501m000) session, delivers the produced item to the warehouse that is defined on the sales order line, after which the items are shipped to the customer.

If this check box is selected, production orders are generated for sales order (delivery) lines with the Delivery Type field set to Production in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session or the Sales Order Planned Delivery Lines (tdsls4101m100) session.
- Warehouse

If this check box is selected, production orders are generated for sales order (delivery) lines with the Delivery Type field set to Warehouse in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session or the Sales Order Planned Delivery Lines (tdsls4101m100) session.
If the Delivery Type field has the value Warehouse in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session or the Sales Order Planned Delivery Lines (tdsls4101m100) session, after (hard pegged) production orders are generated, LN automatically changes the Delivery Type to Production in these sessions.
- Consider Allocated to Inventory

If this check box is selected, the allocated inventory is taken into account when determining the ordered quantity for a generated production order.
- Consider Demand Pegged to Supply Orders

If this check box is selected, the hard pegged supply orders are taken into account when determining the ordered quantity for a generated production order.
- Print Generated Orders

If this check box is selected, a list of all generated production orders is printed.
- Print Error Report

If this check box is selected, an error report is printed if errors occur during the generation process.
- Print to predefined Device

If this check box is selected, the report is printed on your default printer.
If this check box is cleared, the report is printed on an alternative, to be specified printer.
- Number Group

The number group for the production orders to be generated.
