Sales Order - Lines (tdsls4100m900)
Use this session to view, enter, maintain, and process a specific sales order and linked sales order lines.
You can specify a sales order header and lines on one screen. This session enables you to quickly enter the most important information for a sales order and to process the order. You can manually specify sales orders, you can use templates if orders reoccur, or you can use catalogs.
Tabs
The lines on the tabs refer to these sessions:

Order Lines
Refers to the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the lines of the sales order. Double-click the line for more detailed information. -
Order Promising
Refers to the Sales Order Promising Lines (tdsls4101m400) session. On this tab, you can view the sales order lines'order promising status, check their inventory, and solve inventory shortages, if required. -
Release to Warehousing
Refers to the Release Sales Order Lines to Warehousing (tdsls4501m140) session. You can view the sales order lines that are waiting to be released to Warehousing. If you select a line, you can release the line to Warehousing. After the line is released, it is removed from the current tab. -
Actual Delivery Lines
Refers to the Sales Order Actual Delivery Lines (tdsls4106m000) session. On this tab, you can view the actual delivery information for the sales order lines. -
Invoice Lines
Refers to the Sales Order Invoice Lines (tdsls4106m100) session. LN only displays lines for which items are delivered. After an invoice line is approved, you can release the line to Invoicing. On this tab, LN displays lines that are waiting to be invoiced, and lines that are already released to Invoicing. -
Back Orders
Refers to the Maintain and Confirm Backorders (tdsls4125m000) session. You can maintain and confirm the sales order lines that are partially delivered and that have the Back Order Quantity field filled. -
Relations
Refers to the Sales Order Line - Relations (tdcms0141m000) session. On this tab, you can view and link relations to sales order lines. This tab is disabled if the Linking of Relations On fields are set to Sales Order in the Commissions/Rebates Parameters (tdcms0100s000) session. -
Monitor
Refers to the Sales Order Lines Monitor (tdsls4510m100) session. You can view all sales order lines that are linked to the sales order and their related data.
- If you cannot find a specific sales order line on the Release to Warehousing or the Invoice Lines tabs, the sales order line might not be ready yet for releasing. You can verify if another activity must be carried out first for the line in the Sales Order Line Status (tdsls4534s000) session, which you can start by clicking on the appropriate menu of the Lines tab.
- You can copy existing order lines to new order lines. If you select the order line(s) and click the Duplicate Sales Order Line button, all selected lines are copied into the current sales order.
- If you select an order line(s) and click the Show attachments button, you can link document revisions to the sales order line in the Objects Links (dmcom8110m000) session and/or link files to the document revision in the File Linking (dmdoc4540m002) session.

After the contract number is entered, the order header data is loaded with the default values in the header of the contract. Specific addresses are also copied. In this way, the contract terms are adopted on the order level, allowing adoption of the contract price and/or contract discount as well.
The purpose of this field is to serve as a default for the Contract field of the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session. However, the action LN takes depends on the value of the Interactive Contract Linking check box in the Sales Contract Parameters (tdsls0100s300) session.
Note:The contract must be:
- Active. The check whether a contract is active or not is performed based on the Sales Price Date Type parameter in the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session.
- Of the Special Contract type.

Note:- If the fields in the Returns group box are filled and you click on the appropriate menu, dependent on the Original Document Type, a session starts from which you can select the lines of the original document to be copied to the current order. As a result, a link is created between the original order line and the return order line.
- When a return order is linked to an original Order and you click on the appropriate menu, the original sales/issue integration transactions are reversed. When copy from original order is not carried out, fixed transfer price (FTP) is used to create the financial integration transactions for the sales return order.

Note: If the warehouse is WMS controlled, and the Collect Orders check box is cleared for the warehouse in the WMS Interface Parameters (whwmd2105m000) session, you cannot enter a collect order type in this field. - Sales Order

When you enter a sales order, LN retrieves the sales office from theSold-to Business Partner (tccom4110s000) session based on the specified sold-to-business partner. This value can be changed. If a sales office is not specified in the Sold-to Business Partner (tccom4110s000) session, LN defaults the sales office from the Sales User Profiles (tdsls0139m000) session based on the login code of the user. If a sales office is not specified the Sales User Profiles (tdsls0139m000) session also, LN cannot retrieve a default sales office.

However, the planned delivery date can deviate from the order date if:

- Shipping Constraint

The terms and conditions related to the shipment of goods.
Default value
This field is defaulted as follows:
- From the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session.
- If the Shipping Constraint is Not Applicable in the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session, from the Sold-to Business Partners (tccom4510m000) session.

There is no shipping constraint. LN handles the orders based on the available inventory. Sufficient inventory results in a complete shipment. Insufficient inventory results in a back order.
- Ship Order Complete

The total order must be shipped in a single shipment. As a result, LN does not allow partial deliveries. Lack of inventory results in the postponement of shipment of the order.
- Ship Set Complete

All the order lines with the following common delivery criteria must be shipped in a single shipment:
- Delivery date.
- Carrier.
- Warehouse.
- Ship-to business partner.
- Ship-to address.
LN assigns the same set number to these order lines. Other order lines can be shipped separately.
- Ship Line Complete

Each order line must be delivered as a whole. LN assigns a unique set number to each order line. Lack of inventory results in the postponement of shipment of the order line.
- Ship Line & Cancel
-
The available inventory is shipped. If sufficient inventory exists, this results in a complete shipment. Lack of inventory does not result in a back order but in cancellation of the order for the remaining quantity. LN enters a predefined cancel reason to the order line. This cancel reason is defined in the Pre-Defined Cancellation Reason for Ship/Cancels field of the Sales Order Parameters (tdsls0100s400) session.
- Ship Kit Complete

A main item must be delivered as a whole. LN assigns a unique set number to the component lines that constitute a main item and that must be shipped in one set. Lack of inventory results in back order for the main item, which must also be delivered as a whole.

The default value in this field is taken from the Sold-to Business Partner (tccom4110s000) session or from the Invoice-to Business Partner (tccom4112s000) session. If no Invoice-to Business Partner is found in the Sold-to Business Partner (tccom4110s000) session, LN searches the Invoice-to Business Partner (tccom4112s000) session. If no Invoice-to Business Partner is is found in the Invoice-to Business Partner (tccom4112s000) session either, no Invoice-to Business Partner is defined, and LN cannot enter a default value.
The Invoice-to Business Partner entered in this field is taken as the default value in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session.

Allowed values
- Suspended

The order is being created or handled by another application/process and cannot be maintained.
Sales orders with an origin other than Manual can obtain this status.

An order obtains this status if:
- The order is created, or confirmed from a Suspended status.
- All lines of an approved sales order are deleted.
A free order waits for approval.
- Approved

The order is approved.
Approval can be done using Approve Sales Orders (tdsls4211m000) session.
When the order is approved the sales order line activities (tdsls4534s000) can be performed. The next activity can be performed automatically, if the sales order is approved.
- Modified

An order obtains this status if:
- Order lines are added, changed, canceled, or deleted after the order is approved. Or directly related objects, such as component lines (tdsls4163m000) or Material Price Information (tcmpr1600m000), are changed after the order is approved.
- A blocked sales order is unblocked.
- Order header is changed.
- A modified sales order must be approved again, before you can continue with the sales order procedure.
A modified sales order must be approved again.
- In Process
-
The order can be at various stages in the delivery procedure.
When the first activity of a sales order line is successfully performed, the status of the sales order is set to In Process.
Most common activities are Print Sales Order Acknowledgements (tdsls4401m000), Release Sales Order to Warehousing (tdsls4246m000), Release Sales Orders to Invoicing (tdsls4247m000) and Process Delivered Sales Orders (tdsls4223m000).
- Closed

All steps in the order procedure are executed for the sales order type.
The last activity for each sales order line is Process Delivered Sales Orders (tdsls4223m000). When this activity is successfully performed for every sales order line of a sales order then the status of the sales order can be set to Closed.
A closed order can be modified only if a change must be done then the Reopen Closed Sales Order action must be perfomed and the status of the sales order is set to In Process.
- Canceled

All lines in the order are canceled and are no longer available for further execution.
An order can be canceled using the Cancel Sales Order (tdsls4201s300) session.
- Blocked
-
The order is blocked and is (temporarily) not available for further execution.
The status blocked can be set manually using the Block Order (tdsls4120ms000) session or a result of a check, like the credit limit check.
- Released

A technical/temporary status during the release to warehousing activity.
- Invoicing by Installments

You can indicate if and how the sales order is invoiced in installments.

Note:If the sales order is of the Consignment Replenishment type, you can zoom to the Warehouses (tcmcs0503m000) session to display all consignment owned warehouses that are linked to the ship-to business partner. After a consignment warehouse is selected and the consignment replenishment sales order is released to Warehousing , LN uses the ship-to address for determining the warehouse that must be replenished and that must be used on the warehouse transfer order.
If the ship-to address is a default address, LN checks whether it is linked to a consignment owned warehouse for the ship-to business partner in the Warehouses (tcmcs0503m000) session. If yes, the address is accepted. If not, the address of the first consignment owned warehouse that is linked to the ship-to business partner, is used.
- Order Weight

The total weight of the items ordered on the sales order lines. The weight is calculated based on the ordered quantity and is expressed in the company's base weight unit, as defined in the Weight field of the MCS Parameters (tcmcs0100s000) session.
The order weight is the sum of the weight of the order lines. The order line weight is calculated as follows :
(Ordered Quantity * Conversion Factor Sales to Inventory Unit) * (Item Weight * Conversion Factor Item Weight to Base Unit Weight)
Note: An item's weight can be defined in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session.The following order lines are excluded from the order weight calculation:
- Order lines with a negative quantity
- Canceled lines
- Potential back order lines
- Total lines
Note:- You must click the button to calculate the order weight.
- Blocked lines and direct delivery lines are included in the order weight calculation.
- Back orders lines are included in the order weight calculation, but the order line's delivered quantity is used in the order weight calculation.
- The packaging weight is not taken into account.
- The line weight of a sales order line that contains a Sales BOM is the sum of the weight of the related BOM lines.
- The line weight of a sales order line that contains Component Lines is the sum of the weight of the related component lines.

The currency in which the sales order amounts are expressed.

You can manually enter the rate. By default, LN uses the rate that is valid on the date and time on which the documents are created. The Manually Entered rate determiner applies to all types of transactions.
- Delivery Date

If the goods are not yet delivered, LN uses the rate that is valid on the order date. However, if this order date is in the past, LN uses the rate that is valid on the current date.
If the goods are delivered, LN uses the rate that is valid on the actual delivery date.
The Delivery Date rate determiner only applies to sales orders, service orders, and sales invoices. You cannot manually change the rate.
- Receipt Date

LN uses the rate that is valid on the date and time on which you expect to receive the goods. The Receipt Date rate determiner only applies to purchase orders and purchase invoices. You cannot manually change the rate.
- Expected Cash Date

LN uses the rate that is valid on the date and time at which payment of the sales invoice or purchase invoice is expected.
Expected cash date = expected delivery/receipt date + payment period
The payment period is specified in the Payment Terms (tcmcs0113s000) session. The Expected Cash Date rate determiner applies to all types of transactions. You cannot manually change the rate.
The rate is updated by Invoicing when the invoice is posted.
- Fixed

You can use this rate determiner only for a dependent currency system or a single currency system. The Fixed rate determiner applies to all types of transactions.
If you manually enter the rates between the transaction currency and the reference currencies, the rate is fixed. If you do not manually enter the rates, the rate is not fixed and LN uses the rate that is valid on the date and time on which the documents are created.
- Fixed Hard

You can use this rate determiner only for an independent currency system. The Fixed Hard rate determiner applies to all types of transactions.
If you manually enter the rate between the transaction currency and the reporting currencies, the rates are fixed. The local currency rate is based on the document date of the actual document.
If you do not manually enter the rate between the transaction currency and the reporting currencies, the rates are not fixed and LN uses the rates that are valid on the date and time on which the documents are created.

You can use this rate determiner only for an independent currency system. The Fixed Local rate determiner applies to all types of transactions.
If you manually enter the rate between the transaction currency and the local currency, the rate is fixed. The other rates are based on the document date of the actual document.
