Price Book (tdpcg0611m000)
Use this session to view, enter, and maintain price books.
You can start this session from the Price Books (tdpcg0111m000) session or stand-alone.
Lines
The lines on the Lines tab refer to the Price Book Lines (tdpcg0131m000) session in which you can specify the items and their price information.
Field Information

- Price Book
- Description
-
Specify a name for the price book.
- Type
-
Specify whether the price book is a sales price book or a purchase price book.
- Revision
- The revision number of the price book and
change request.Note:
- This field is displayed only if the Change Request for Pricing Documents check box is selected in the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session.
- This value cannot be modified.
- Active
-
Indicates if the price book is Active.
Note:- This setting cannot be modified manually.
- The application selects this check box when the price book is activated using the Actions menu. option from the
- Suspended
- Indicates if a change request is required
for the activation of the price book or discount schedule.Note: This field is enabled only if:
- The Active check box is cleared.
- The Change Request for Pricing Documents check box is selected in the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session.
- Creation Date

The date on which the price book is created.
Note:- The value in this field cannot be modified.
- By default, the current date and time is displayed.
- Created by
-
The name of the user who creates the price book.
Note:- The value in this field cannot be modified.
- By default, the login code of the user who creates the record is displayed.
- General Use

If this check box is selected, the price book is for general usage.
Note: To serve multiple purposes, the price book can also have the Used for Contracts or Used for RFQs check boxes selected. - Used for Contracts

If this check box is selected, the price book can be allocated to a sales contract or a purchase contract and is usually linked to a contract price revision.
Note: The Allow Update of Price Books used for Contracts check box in the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session determines whether you can update price books that are linked to active contracts. - Used for RFQs

If this check box is selected, the price book can be allocated to a request-for-quotation (RFQ).
These price books are used only to store prices, not to retrieve prices.
Note: This check box can be selected if the Type field is set to Purchase.

- Responsible Employee

The employee ( buyer) assigned the required permission to access the price book. Based on this, an employee's authorization level for the price book can be specified.
The authorization level can be set to:

Price books can be viewed and printed. -
Use
Price books can be linked. -
Modify
Price books can be created, updated, deleted, and imported.
Note:This field is validated using the authorization and security process if:
- The Procurement check box is selected in the Authorization and Security Parameters (tcsec0100m000) session.
- The Price Book check box is selected and the Permission for field is set to Buyer in the Procurement Permissions (tcsec3615m000) session.

The purchase office of the employee assigned the required permission to access the price book. Based on this, the employee’s authorization level for the price book can be specified.
