Item Engineering Revision Control (tcibd9198m000)
Use this session to define the settings and a template for the revision-controlled items that can be received from Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
Note:
This template has item control fields for the relevant fields of the Items (tcibd0501m000) session. Not for all fields the control can be chosen. Some fields will always be controlled by PLM, and others will always be controlled by LN.
This session can be accessed only if:- The Engineering Revisions check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
- The Originating App field is set to these
values in the Item Base Data Parameters (tcibd9199m000) session:

Field Information
- Introduction Date
- The date and time that the item engineering revision control data is valid. The revision control data is valid up to the effective date of a more recent company data setting.
- Settings

- Originating App
- The source of the engineering item revision. The
value can be defined in the Item Base Data Parameters.

- EDM
- IBD
- PLM (Internal)
- PLM (external)
- Revision Numbering
- Indicates the method in which the
revisions are defined for the engineering item. The value can be defined in the
Item Base Data Parameters.
Allowed values
- Fixed
- The user can specify the revision numbering. This option is applicable only if the Originating App field is set to IBD, PLM (internal) or PLM (external).
- Free
- The revision numbering is fixed based on the application. This option is applicable only if the Originating App field is set to IBD.
- PLM
- The revision numbering is defined by PLM. This option is applicable only if the Originating App field is set to PLM (Internal) or PLM (external) and the Manual Create Revision check box is cleared in the Item Engineering Revision Control (tcibd9198m000) session.

- If this check box is selected, LN allows you to manually create a revision controlled for the item.
- Modify PLM Controlled Fields
- If this check box is selected, LN allows to modify the PLM controlled fields in IBD.
- Create Revision
- If this check box is selected, it is allowed
to create the revisions for engineering items manually.Note: This field is applicable only if the Revision Numbering field is set to Free or Fixed in the Item Base Data Parameters (tcibd9199m000) session
- Received Revision Handling

- Automatic Processing
- If this check box is selected, the new revision of the engineering item received from PLM is processed automatically.
- Automatic Approving
- If this check box is selected, the automatic
processed new revision of the engineering item is approved automatically.Note: This field is enabled only if the Automatic Processing check box is selected.
- Print Process Report
- If this check box is selected, LN
prints a report of the automatic processed engineering items that are received
from PLM and that can be controlled by PLM.Note: This field is enabled only if the Automatic Processing check box is selected.
- Process Received Revision Handling

- Create Item by PLM
- If this check box is selected, it is allowed to process an engineering revision into a new item code. Otherwise, the item code needs to be created in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session before the revision can be processed.

- Use Unallocated Inventory
- If this check box is selected, the unallocated inventory associated with the engineering item that must be used, is controlled by Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Change Management Allowed
- If this check box is selected, the change
