Values by Translation Table (tcibd4106m000)
Use this session to list, create, or maintain translation table values.
You must enter a number of possible values in the Segment Value column, and the translated values in the Translated Value column. If LN generates an identification code using a mask, the values in the Translated Value column are inserted instead of the values in the Segment Value column.
Example 1
Segment Type | Value Type | Segment Value | Translated Value |
---|---|---|---|
Date | Year (4-digit) | 1990 | A |
- | - | 1991 | B |
- | - | 1992 | C |
- | - | 1993 | D |
Example 2
Segment Type | Value Type | Segment Value | Translated Value |
---|---|---|---|
Infor LN Field | tcibd001.kitm | purchase | P |
- | - | manufacture | M |
- | - | generic | G |
- | - | service | S |
Note: To translate the enums of an Infor LN Field, specify the exact constant names of the enums in the Segment Value field. You can retrieve the constant names from the Enum/Set Constants (ttadv4501m000) session, which can be started from the Domains (ttadv4500m000) session. In this example, a selection of enums linked to the Item type (tckitm) domain are displayed.
Field Information
- Value Type
-
The type of information that is translated into another value. For example, a specific year is translated into a specific letter code. LN can translate the following segment (information) types:
- Option
- Infor LN Field
- Date
- Translated Value
-
The value that is inserted instead of the Segment Value when LN generates an identification number.
- Translation Table
- Segment Value
-
The original values that are translated to a Translated Value.
Note: If the enums of an Infor LN Field must be translated, specify the exact constant names of the enums in the current field. You can retrieve the constant names from the Enum/Set Constants (ttadv4501m000) session, which can be started from the Domains (ttadv4500m000) session.
