List Components (tcibd3100m000)
Use this session to list and maintain list items and their components by list group.
- To add components to the list item for the selected list group, click New.
- To add other list items to the list group, click New Group.
- To add list items to another list group, click New Group.
- To see other list items that belong to the list group and to see other list groups, click Next Group and Previous Group.

- List Group

The list group to which the list item belongs.
- Item

An item of the list group. The item can belong to several list groups.
- List Type

The list type of the list item.
Allowed values
- Option: The list item is an optional item. The identification of the options and features for a configured item. The ID is used in the item specification to match supply and demand.

Kit: The list item is a part of a kit. A predefined list of items
to be delivered together when ordered by the customer.
You can define kits to facilitate order entry. A kit includes a list of components and is ordered and priced as a single item. On the sales order line, the components are linked. The standard cost of the kit is the sum of the components' standard cost.
Example: The components of a PC kit usually include the main cabinet, a monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse. In the Do-It-Yourself market, a toolshed kit can contain the parts for the walls and the roof, a door with hinges, a door handle, and a lock.
- Menu: The list item is menu specific. A type of item that consists of a group of items with similar characteristics that are classified under one generic item to facilitate order entry. The items in the group can be selected separately.
- Accessory: The list item is an accessory. A list type that permits the definition of related inventory items or kits that are offered to business partners when they order an end item.

The component's sequence number in the list.

The item that is a component of the list item. You must define the items in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session.
- Effective Date

The first date on which the component is valid for the list item in list group. The default effective date is the current date.
- End Date

The last date on which the component is valid for the list item in list group.
- Quantity

The quantity of this component that is required for the end item.
- Inventory Unit

The inventory unit in which the item component is stored.
Note: The item's standard cost is based on this unit.
