Item Code System - Items (tcibd0104m000)

Use this session to view, enter, and maintain item codes by item code system.

In this session you can store your business partner's external item codes next to your own internally used item codes. The external item code and internal item code refer to the same item.

If you enter the business partner's item code during order entry, LN automatically retrieves the corresponding item code that you use internally.

Note:

You can only include item code systems defined in the Item Code Systems (tcibd0106m000) session.
You cannot delete item code systems that are in use.

By default, LN uses the packaging item codes or packaging item classifications defined in the Business Partner Packaging Item Codes (whwmd4506m000) session. If not present, the business partner item codes defined in the current session are used.

Field Information

Item Code System: item code system
Business Partner: If the item code system represents a business partner's item codes, this is the business partner that uses the business partner item codes.
Item: The internal item for which the external business partner item code is stored. The internal item code and external item code refer to the same item.
Business Partner Item: The item code that is used by the business partner to indicate the item in the Item field. You can enter the business partner's item code during order entry, after which the internally used item code will appear.
Business Partner Item Description: The item description that is used by the business partner to indicate the item in the Item field. You can enter the business partner's item code during order entry, after which the internally used item code and description will appear.
Effective Revision: If multiple revisions are available for business partner item codes, this field shows the effective business partner item revision.
