Contact (tccom1640m000)
Use this session to view, enter, and maintain contacts.
You can start this session:
- From the Contacts (tccom4540m000) overview session, by double-clicking a record, or by entering a new contact.
- From the Contacts by Business Partner Role (tccom4545m000) session, by double-clicking a record.
- Stand-alone.

The lines on the tabs refer to these sessions:

Activities
Refers to the Activities (tccom6100m000) session. On this tab, you can view, enter, and maintain activities by contact. -
Notes
Refers to the Notes (tcstl1550m000) session. On this tab, you can view, enter, and maintain the notes that are linked to the contact. If you double-click a line or enter a new note on this tab, the Note (tcstl1650m000) session is started. -
Business Partners
Refers to the Business Partner Roles by Contact (tccom4546m000) session. On this tab, you can view, enter, maintain, and delete business partner roles by contact, and define whether the contact is the primary contact for a role. If you double-click a line on this tab, the Business Partner (tccom4100s000) session is started. -
Categories
Refers to the Categories by Contact (tccom4141m000) session. On this tab, you can link contact categories to a contact. -
Additional Attributes
Refers to the Attributes by Contact (tdsmi1123m000) session. On this tab, you can add attributes to a contact. -
Document Output Management Rules
Refers to the Document Output Management Rules (tccom6170m000) session.

- Active

If this check box is selected, the contact is active and can be used.
Note: If you change a contact from active to inactive, LN checks whether the contact is the primary contact for one of the business partner roles. If this is the case, before you can inactivate the contact you must first delete the contact as the primary contact for the business partner role, or assign another contact as the primary contact in the Business Partner Roles by Contact (tccom4546m000) session. - Synchronize

If this check box is selected, the contact must be synchronized with Microsoft Exchange.
Note: This check box is only visible if the Synchronize Contacts check box is selected in the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session. - Salutation

The salutation for the contact.
- Title

The title used on the documents addressed to the contact.
- Full Name

The contact's first, middle, and last name.
Note: If a full name is entered, name details, such as First Name and Last Name are automatically generated in the Contact Name Details (tccom4140s100) session. Click the button to start this session. - Business Partner

The contact's general business partner, which is the contact's employer.
Note:- Only business partners with the Active or Prospect status can be selected from the Business Partners (tccom4500m000) session.
- Click the Easy Entry Business Partner (tccom4201m000) session. button to enter a new business partner in the
- If this field is filled, the contact is also linked to the business partner in the Contacts by Business Partner Role (tccom4545m000) session.
- Job Title

The contact's job title.
- Department

The contact's department.

- Picture

The contact's picture.
- You can add a picture by a drag-and-drop operation.
- The picture can have the following extensions: .jpg, .gif, or .png.
- Work Address

The contact's work address.
Note:- If the Business Partner field is filled, the work address is defaulted from the business partner.
- You can select an address from the Addresses (tccom4530m000) session or click the button to enter a new address in the Addresses (tccom4130s000) session.
