Using documents
Also, when a price book or discount schedule change is retro-billed, the sales or purchase retro-billed advice is logged as Using Document.
For example, when the price of a price book line changes and this change is selected for retro-billing, you must know the invoice lines and payable receipts for which the price is used. A retro-billed advice can be generated for these Using Documents. The retrieval of the price retrieval determines if the new price is considered from the linked price book or another price book.
The Price book lines, and Discount schedule lines can be used by these Using Documents:
- Sales order line
- Sales order invoice line
- Sales schedule line
- Sales schedule planned warehouse order
- Sales schedule invoice line
- Purchase order line
- Purchase order payable receipt
- Purchase schedule line
- Purchase schedule payable receipt
The Price Book Line Using Documents (tdpcg0561m000) session, the Discount Schedule Line Using Documents (tdpcg0561m100) and the Discount Matrix Using Documents (tdpcg0561m300) sessions list the Using Document data. A record is created when a price or discount is retrieved, for example from a sales order line. When a contract is unlinked or when another price is found during recalculation of price and discounts, a record is deleted, and a new record is created (or existing record is updated).
The Retro-Bill check box setting determines if the retro billing process must be initiated for the Using Documents when a pricing document is changed.
