Report Designer - Handling report margins
In the Report Designer you are now more in control over setting the report margins.
In previous releases, the report margins could be overruled by default settings as defined in the PDF Properties (ttadv3138m100) session.
Now, you can set each report margin, Left, Right, Top, and Bottom, as a fixed value or as a dynamic value:
- A fixed value can be set in the Report Designer.
- A dynamic value cannot be changed in the Report Designer, but is displayed read-only in
the report's Properties panel. A dynamic value is one of these
values:
- The runtime value defined by the standard report, which also has defaults.
- The value that has been set in the PDF Properties (ttadv3138m100) session.
A tooltip on the margin field shows the origin of the margin value.
Whether a margin has a fixed or a dynamic value depends on settings in the Report Parameters (ttadv3141m000) and PDF Properties (ttadv3138m100) sessions.
In the Report Parameters (ttadv3141m000) session, a check box,
Overrule report specific PDF properties by Report
Designer, has been added. To provide consistency with the current situation,
this check box is cleared by default:
- If the check box is selected, and report-specific properties are present in the PDF Properties (ttadv3138m100) session, the corresponding margins are fixed. You can edit these margins in the Report Designer.
- If the check box is cleared, and a report specific margin is present in the PDF Properties (ttadv3138m100) session, the margin is dynamic. The margin cannot be changed in the Report Designer. This is indicated by a tooltip on the margin field in the report's Properties panel.
For consistency reasons, the Report Parameters (ttadv3141m000) session has been moved to the menu.
