Values (options) for a characteristic must be defined (for example blue), or red.
- Method
-
The method of the characteristic.
Allowed values
- Algorithm
-
The characteristic value is calculated by means of an algorithm, using by the inspection results of variable or fixed characteristics.
- Fixed
-
he characteristic value is determined once and can be entered in the Fixed Characteristic Value field in the Standard Test Procedure Characteristics (qmptc0115m000) session. LN uses this value to compare to the results entered in the Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session or the Sample Test Data by Serial Number (qmptc1116m000) session.
- Variable
-
The characteristic value is measured immediately by means of an instrument. The results are entered in the Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session or the Sample Test Data by Serial Number (qmptc1116m000) session.
- Characteristic Unit
-
Displays the unit in which the characteristic is expressed.
- For Algorithm
-
If this check box is selected, this characteristic can be used as a variable or as a constant in the algorithm of another characteristic.
- Characteristic Standard
-
Displays the standard normally used for characteristics.
- Default Test
-
Displays the test that is used by default for measuring the characteristic.
- Fixed Characteristic Value
-
Displays the characteristic value that is determined once.
The fixed characteristic value is compared to the test results entered in the Inspection Order Test Data (qmptc1115m000) session.
Note: This field only applies if the Method field is set to Fixed. If the Characteristic Type field is set to Integer, the Fixed Characteristic Value field is rounded off to the nearest integer.User entry Rounded value 5 11 4 10 6 11 - Option Set
-
Note: You can specify a value in this field only if the Characteristic Type field is set to Option.
- Algorithm
-
Note: You can specify a value in this field only if the Method field is set to Algorithm. Enter the name of the algorithm that is used to calculate the characteristic.
- Value Type
-
The value type of the characteristic.
Allowed values
- Norm
- Nominal
- Not Applicable
- Limit Type
-
The type of value that is measured.
Allowed values
- Tolerance
-
The limits are entered as percentages of the norm. You can enter the norm in the Norm field.
- Value
-
The limits are entered as values in the Upper Limit field and the Lower Limit field.
- Chart Name
-
The code of the chart name to which the nominal values are applicable.
Note: This field is applicable only if the Value Type field is set to Nominal. - Chart Type
-
The code of the chart type for which the nominal values are applicable
Note: This field is applicable only if the Value Type field is set to Nominal. - Tolerance Standard
-
The tolerance standard linked to the nominal value range.
Note: This field is applicable only if the Value Type field is set to Nominal. - Norm
-
The value at which the quality of the characteristic is accepted. This value is expressed in the characteristic unit.
Note:This field is disabled if the Value Type field is set to Nominal.
You can specify the value in this field, if the Characteristic Type field is set to Option and this value is not used to determine the inspection result.
In case of qualitative test entry ( Result Type is Qualitative for the related inspection order line), this value is used only to display the information and is not used to determine the inspection results.
- Nominal Value
-
The nominal value of the characteristic, expressed in the characteristic unit.
Note:This field is disabled if the Value Type field is set to Norm.
You can specify the value in this field, if the Characteristic Type field is set to Option and this value is not used to determine the inspection result.
In case of qualitative test entry ( Result Type is Qualitative for the related inspection order line), this value is used only to display the information and is not used to determine the inspection results.
- Upper Limit
-
The maximum norm/nominal value up to which the quality of the characteristic is acceptable. The value is expressed in characteristic unit.
Note:This field is disabled if the Limit Type is set to Tolerance.
You can specify the value in this field, if the Characteristic Type field is set to Option and this value is not used to determine the inspection result.
In case of qualitative test entry ( Result Type is Qualitative for the related inspection order line), this value is used only to display the information and is not used to determine the inspection results.
- Lower Limit
-
The minimum norm/nominal value up to which the quality of the characteristic is acceptable. The value is expressed in characteristic unit.
Note:This field is disabled if the Limit Type is set to Tolerance.
