Saving a file and creating a document
To save a file to PLM and create only a document.
It is assumed you have the correct preference settings selected to create a document only. For more information, seeIntegration Preferences .
- Select Save to PLM from the PLM drop-down menu or click Save to PLM icon on the toolbar. As a result, the Attributes for File-Documents-Items dialog box appears. The Item tab displays no data and the item fields are not accessible since your preferences are set up to create a document only.
- After updating the relevant attributes, click OK. As a result, only the documents and files are created in PLM, and not the items.
