Default Data Management
A template is used to create default data for the object. The template populates default data for the object to save time and ensure consistency across the application.
For each object, you can set one of the templates as preferred. This template is automatically selected when you create a new object.
A template can be updated or deleted by the Project Administrator or the General Administrator. You can select an appropriate template, modify the values, and save the template.
You can copy the existing template and modify the attribute value based on the requirement, instead of creating a new template.
You can create default templates for these objects:
- Item
- BOM
- Document
- Folder
- File
- Business Process
The default templates can be defined for the objects as shown in the table below using the sessions. Administrators must create the defaults as required.
