Document Defaults

Documents are revision-controlled objects that are intrinsic to the functional processes supported by PLM. You can create and update a document. You can also link items, files and folders as a reference to the document. Each document can be revision controlled using the Check In and Check Out operations.

Note:

In PLM, documents refer to the files that contain the actual data.

The document default template is used to create default data for the document. You can maintain default data for the PLM document using the Document Defaults (pdadm5154m000) session.
