File Defaults

Files are external data entities such as Microsoft Word documents, Excel workbooks, and CAD drawings, that can be imported to PLM. The files are linked directly to documents.

Note:

In PLM documents refer to the files that contain the actual data.

If the appropriate PLM CAD application has been installed, you can open the associated files in the integrated application directly from the Documents form.

The file default template is used to create default data for the file. You can maintain default data for the PLM files using the File Defaults (pdadm5156m000) session.
