Documents (pdpdm2600m000)

Use session to view and maintain the document data. You can also copy an existing document data to a new document. The data in the header section is defaulted from the Documents Defaults (pdadm5154m000) session.
Note: 
  • The User Defined Attributes II tab comprises of the custom fields that are included based on the requirement.
  • You can use the Add Files option to add file. This is the Files (pdpdm5100m000) session.
  • You can use the CAD Viewer Workbench option to access the CAD Viewer Workbench (pdpdm8500m000) session, wherein you can view the 2D,3D files and also attach markups (such as comments, notes and drawings) to files displayed in the viewer, for review and collaboration.
  • You can use the Download option to download a document.

    If multiple files are attached to the document, the files are displayed on the Files (pdpdm2502m200) session.

  • You can use the View option to view a document.

    If multiple files are attached to the document, the files are displayed on the Files (pdpdm2502m200) session.

Field Information

Document

The code of the document. Documents are revision controlled and are intrinsic to the functional processes supported by PLM. Documents refer to the files that contain the actual data.

Is Latest

Indicates if the revision of the document is the latest.

Revision

The revision number of the linked document.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Status

The status of the document.

The stage at which the document is, in the production life cycle. This is used to track the document through the various phases (from design to production).

PLM Project

The PLM project for which the document is created. The PLM administrator assigns users to the specific projects based on the authorization.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Security Access Level

The level of security access provided to the user.

Note: By default, this field is set to Unrestricted.
Category

The category code to which the document is classified.

Category Name

The category name to which the document is classified.

BOM Defining

If this check box is selected, the Bill of Material is defined for the item linked to the document.

Template

The code of the template defined for the document.

Note: The template for which the Preferred check box is selected in the Document Defaults (pdadm5154m000) session, is defaulted.
Description

The description or name of the code.

Object Type

The category used to classify the object.

Note: By default, this field is set to Document.
Application Format Type

The category of CAD integration file format.

Note: By default, this field is set to Not Applicable.
Business Process

The code of the business process for which the document is created. The application populates this value when the business process is in progress. This value is cleared when the business process is complete.

Doc Class

The type of document.

The alpha numeric code of the existing revision of the document.

Approval Date

The date on which the document is released.

Effective From

The date and time from when the effectivity of the document is applicable.

Effective To

The date and time up to which the document is effective. The application sets the date when a new revision of the document is released.

Derived From

The original document from which this document is copied.

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.
