Zones by Zone Type and Carrier/LSP (fmfrc1110m000)

Use this session to view and maintain zones. In this session, you can maintain the following components of a zone:

Zone identification code.
Description.
Zone Type.
Carrier/LSP.

Use the options on the Specific menu to access the sessions in which you can maintain the Zone information of the zones defined in this session.

In the Zones by ZIP (fmfrc1120m000) session, you can maintain zone information for zones of the ZIP type, in the Zones by City (fmfrc1130m000) session, you can maintain zone information for zones of the City type, and in the Zones by Distance (fmfrc1140m000) session, you can maintain zone information for zones of the Distance type.

Field Information

Zone Type

The zone type for the current zone. The Zone Type determines the type of zone information that can be maintained for a Zone.

Allowed values

ZIP: Zone by zip
City: Zone by city
Distance: Zone by distance
Not Applicable: Zone type not used.

Carrier/LSP

The carrier for the current Zone. If you select a carrier in this field, the carrier is taken as the default carrier for all zones identified by the current combination of Zone and Zone Type.

When the carrier selected in this field is also selected for a freight order, a load, or a shipment, the zones linked to this carrier are used to determine the transportation costs of the freight order, load, or shipment.
