The basic shift are the regular working hours. An employee need to be at work during this period.

During the period of the Punched Break, an employee can take a break. The maximum length of the break is defined in the settings. If the break is shorter than the indicated break then the actual time or the break time is calculated when generating actual attendance, or the actual time is used, based on the setting of the time type.
- Normal Shift

The Normal shift are normal hours, but there is no obligation for the employee to be at work during this period, like with the Basic shift. But there is no overtime paid in this period.

This is the period when employees can come to work or leave work according to their own schedule.

The planned attendance is the base data for availability and capacity calculations. Planned attendance is used on the calculation of work force capacity.

When a Clock-in or Clock-out transaction is recorded in a period Posting time, then the time is reset to the preset posting time. This can be any time. The original time will also be stored.
