Mapping Table for Hold Reasons (bcmtd1102m000)

Preparation

This session can only be used when the pre-conversion is done. That is: “hold codes” from table Hold Code Master Table File (HLDMAS) of MANMAN/HP OMAR Tables Database (TABDB) must be loaded into this session.

Execution

When “hold codes” are present MANMAN/HP, it is mandatory to use this session. Do the following (in sequence):

1. The specific option ‘generate defaults’ Ctrl-Shift-D must be used to fill the column "Hold Reason". The first three characters of column MANMAN Reason Code are used to fill Hold Reason by default.
2. For some fields the column Hold Reason cannot be filled, because the default value is a duplicate. The Hold Reason is than left empty, and this must be resolved by entering a Hold Reason that is unique.
3. Finally specifc option ‘Validate’ must be used. This option checks if the column "Hold Reason" is filled for all records (and if no duplicates are present).

Duration

The amount of time the user spents in this session, depends on the number of duplicates that occur. The more duplicates, the more resolving must be done. It also can be the case that the user prefers Reason Codes different from the default value. In that case more time is needed.

Restart

The session can be restarted without any problem, as long as the conversion from bc to the target did not take place, hold reasons can be maintained.
