Archiving data to Data Lake Company

The data lake company is a layer that is used to reduce the volume of data that has already been archived. The data stored in the Archive General Data (Master Data) and Archive Transaction Data can be archived to the data lake company.

There are two scenarios in which the data is archived using the data lake company:

  • You can directly archive the data from the Source Company to the Data Lake Company.
  • You can delete or archive and delete the data from the Source Company to the Archive Company and then to the Data Lake Company.
Note: You can define the Data Lake Company only if the Archiving to Data Lake Enabled check box is selected in the Archiving Parameters (ttdpm6100m000) session.

Toarchive data to the Data Lake Company, perform these steps:

  1. Define the Source Company, Archive to Company, and Data Lake company using the General Company Data (tccom0102s000) session.
  2. In the Archiving Workbench session, select the required sessions that can be archived to the data lake company.
  3. Set the Archive To field to Data Lake Company.
  4. Click Run
    Note: 
    • If the value is set to Data Lake Company, only the Delete Only and Archive and Delete options are displayed in the Delete/Archive field when you run the archive session.
    • The archive sessions are registered in the Tools menu when you specify the Archive To option to Data Lake Company and vice versa.
