Trial Balance Report

According to Art. 18 par. 1–3 of Accountancy Act, the transaction totals for each general ledger account must be printed at the end of the month and on the day of the stocktaking. For this purpose, the trial balance report is printed.

The printed reports must contain the information required by Art. 18 par. 3 of the Act, such as:
  • The ledger account symbols and names
  • The account balances on the day of book opening (with a division into debit and credit)
  • The turnover in the reporting period
  • The turnover incrementally since the beginning of financial year, including the given period
  • The account balances at the end of the period
The totals of trial balances must additionally include:
  • The account balances on the day of book opening
  • The turnover for given period
  • The turnover incrementally since the beginning of fiscal year
  • The account balances at the end of the period

Journal entries must be automatically consistent with the trial balance report. The totals in the journal report must be equal to the totals on the trial balance report for the respective periods.
