Object Statuses by Object (dmsys0520m000)

Use this session to view as well as to create a new status code for an object.

Click Insert After on the appropriate menu to create a new status code. The new status code is automatically checked as user-defined and is based on the highlighted status-code entry. The user-defined statuses are used as secondary statuses in the Document Revision, Change Proposal, Folder session.

Click Renumber on the appropriate menu to rearrange the sequence order of the user-defined status codes.

The Status Dependencies command on the Specific menu enables you to add a source object and the object's status. The option enables you to identify the source object status on which the current status depends on.

Note: You can only link the system-defined status codes of an object to the source object. The Status Dependencies option is not accessible for user-defined status codes.

Field Information

Status Code: The object ID.
No.: The sequence number of the status code.
Object: The status code for the current object.
Description: The description of the status code.
User Defined: If this check box is selected, the status code is user-defined. This field is used to differentiate between the user-defined status code and system-defined status code.
