Global Update of KANBAN Parameters (whinh2200m100)

Use this session to update kanban settings for selected ranges of warehouses and items. You can select the kanban settings that you want to update and specify the values to replace the current settings.

Note: To prevent users from overwriting each other's update settings, this session is available for one user at a time. If a user tries to access this session while another user is working with this session, a message is displayed and this session is unavailable. The session is available after the current user closes the session.

Field Information

Use the fields in the Selection Range group box to specify the criteria for the data that you want to globally update.

Horizon for Historical Demand

If this check box is selected, the history horizon will be updated.

Update Horizon for Historical Demand With

The number of days that will replace the current history horizon.

Horizon for Future Demand

If this check box is selected, the future horizon will be updated.

Update Horizon for Future Demand With

The number of days that will replace the current future horizon.

Offset Date

If this check box is selected, the offset date will be updated.

Use Offset Date

If this check box is selected, you can specify an offset date for the future horizon in the Offset Date field.

When the updates are processed, this setting is updated to the Offset Date check box in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session for all warehouse and item combinations specified in the Selection Range fields.

Offset Date

The offset date for the future horizon.

The offset date is the starting point for the future horizon. For example, the current date is January 10th and the future horizon is 14 days. If you specify offset date January 24th, the future horizon spans from January 24th up to February 7th. The default offset date is the current date added with the Stock Coverage.

Note: If a value is specified in the Stock Coverage field, this value is used to determine the default offset date in the current field. When the updates are processed, this stock coverage value affects the calculation of the default offset date and the signal quantity for all warehouse and item combinations specified in the Selection Range fields.

Average Daily Demand

If this check box is selected, the average daily demand will be updated with the quantity that you specify in the Update Average Daily Demand With field. To calculate the update quantity, clear this check box and select the Calculate Average Daily Demand check box.

Update Average Daily Demand With

The quantity that will replace the current average daily demand.

Buffer

If this check box is selected, buffer percentage will be updated.

Percentages in excess of 100% are allowed.

Update Buffer With

The percentage that will replace the current buffer percentage.

Stock Coverage

If this check box is selected, the stock coverage will be updated.

Update Stock Coverage With

The number of days that will replace the current stock coverage.

Signal Supply Quantity

If this check box is selected, the signal quantity will be updated.

Update Signal Quantity With

The quantity that will replace the current signal quantity.

Number of Signals

If this check box is selected, the number of kanban signals will be replaced with the number that you specify in the Update Number of Kanbans With field. To calculate the quantity that must replace the current quantity, clear this check box and select the Calculate Number of Signals check box.

Update Number of Kanban Signals With

The number of kanban signals that will replace the current number of kanban signals.

Simulate, Interactive, or Update

The options to update or preview and update the global parameter changes.

Allowed values

Interactive

If you click Continue, the changes made in the current session are displayed in the Update Kanban Parameters (whwmd2113m000) session in which you can preview the results before actually committing them.

Update

If you click Continue, the changes made in the current session are immediately updated.

Simulate

If you click Continue, a report is printed in which you can preview the results of the global update before the global update is actually carried out.

Calculate Average Daily Demand

If this check box is selected, LN calculates the quantity with which the average daily demand must be replaced. To select this check box, clear the Average Daily Demand check box.

Calculate Number of Signals

If this check box is selected, LN calculates the number of kanban signals with which the current number of kanban signals will be replaced. To select this check box, clear the Number of Signals check box.

Update Manually Changed Parameters

If this check box is selected, manually specified numbers of kanban signals and quantities of average daily demands are updated in addition to the calculated values. The average daily demand, number of kanban signals, and other kanban order default values are specified in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session.

Note: This check box is unavailable if the Interactive update mode is selected in the Simulate, Interactive, or Update field.
